Challenge
Automating decisions. This is what brought Vision Distribution and InsideOut10 together. Vision Distribution being one of the top 3 Italian film distribution companies founded by Sky on December 2016. Our goal was to cut the time spent by the management on reports. To make this possible we thought of implementing a system that could aggregate and automate all the data processed by Vision daily. We provided a cognitive support to the predictive analysis of the management and we made available all the tools necessary to visualize and share the results of the distribution together with the trends of the market.
Solution
We developed a workflow in which the daily data flow is saved in a relational database without human intervention, and then exposed to the Watson Analytics cloud according to the different identified keys of reading. Watson Analytics provides the analytical and reporting tools to the team through interactive dashboards that quickly translate data into actionable information for the distribution and sales business.

Result
Management at Vision Distribution found themselves with the possibility of querying data from the last 5 years directly through an internal database. Moreover, there has been a cut on the time spent producing reports that have become interactive predictions on dedicated dashboards. A new way to produce and present data in a more actionable and decision-driven way.
