A1 Telekom Austria

Since 2011 InsideOut10 has been collaborating with Austrian operator A1. We have been proudly running our own video distribution and middleware software HelixWare for A1 since then, introducing the WebStream platform that was installed in Linz. The service is dedicated to business and web clients and it allows to publish all kinds of media files to mobile and stream, both live and on-demand. Among the A1 business clients that currently use the WebStream platform there are RedBull and Disney TV Studios.

In 2016 we delivered the Playout platform, as a separated infrastructure, installed in Vienna, and integrated with A1’s existing middleware to deliver content to the A1TV: the IPTV service offered by the operator to all of its subscribers. HelixWare Playout uses its own dedicated MPEG2-TS broadcast system, simulating live TV channels and scheduling system tailor made for the operator’s network. In 2017 the new HelixWare VOD cloud-based encoding module has been integrated by A1 into the WebStream platform to provide fast and reliable encoding services to clients such as ÖAMTC.
